- After your unit is off, you will need to go to wherever your circuit breakers are located. You will need to find which switch controls your air conditioning unit, and once you have found it, you will need to turn that off as well.
- After you turn off the circuit breaker for your AC, you should wait a full minute. After the minute has passed, it is okay to turn your unit back on. To do so you will need to switch your breaker back on and turn on your unit and thermostat.
